After the adoption of the euro, kroon coins will cease to be a means of payment.
Eesti Pank is collecting kroons from circulation and they will be deformed
using a special machine as indicated in the picture above. Deformed coins will be sold as scrap metal.
Such coins are not fit for use and cannot be exchanged for
valid money either at Eesti Pank or at credit institutions.
