Number of significant digits in daily Estonian kroon fixings has changed

As of Monday, 3 May, Eesti Pank provides its daily fixings in six significant digits instead of the former seven.

The above change is related to Estonia's preparations for joining ERM II, since in line with the annex to the agreement between the European central banks, the exchange rate of the Estonian kroon against the euro is to be fixed in six significant digits upon joining ERM II. The official exchange rate of the Estonian kroon against the euro has been established by Eesti Pank Governor's Decree of 31 December 1998 according to which 1 euro equals 15.6466 Estonian kroons.

The daily fixings provided by Eesti Pank are available after 1.00 p.m. every banking day at http://www.bankofestoni.info/dynamic/erp/erp_en.jsp.
