Eesti Pank starts to publish the consolidated balance sheet of savings and loan associations

As of today, the consolidated balance sheet of savings and loan associations will be regularly published on the Eesti Pank web site.
Eesti Pank, savings and loan associations, and Estonian Union of Savings and Loan Associations concluded a data exchange agreement, according to which Eesti Pank starts to publish the consolidated balance sheet of savings and loan associations on its web site. Although savings and loan associations constitute a small part in the activity of financial intermediaries operating in Estonia, publication of their consolidated balance sheet will provide a good overview of the small but important market share savings and loan associations occupy, said Deputy Governor of Eesti Pank Andres Sutt.
Disclosure of the consolidated balance sheet of savings and loan associations makes it easier for interested parties to obtain the necessary data. The consolidated balance sheet will be published on the 19th banking day of each month.
Eesti Pank uses the statistics obtained from savings and loan associations in compiling financial statistics for the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank.
