In June Eesti Pank will issue a new special design 1-kroon circulation coin
On 21 May, in Eesti Pank's Independence Hall the sixth month of the Jubilee Year of the Republic of Estonia - the month of Eesti Pank
was introduced. The briefing was opened by Andres Lipstok, Governor of Eesti Pank, after which organisers from Eesti Pank, the State Chancellery,
the Defence League and the Corelli Music gave an overview of the coming events. One of the highlights of the month of
Eesti Pank will be the issuance of a new special design 1-kroon circulation coin minted to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Republic of
Estonia. The new coin will be presented to the public on 6 June during the Night of the Bank (PangaÖö) on the rooftop of Viru Shopping Centre.
The coin will be put into circulation already on 7 June. Furthermore, an overview of the Victory Day (Võidupüha)
parade was given and the summer project of Tallinn City Theatre "Back to Vargamäe" was talked about. The briefing also introduced a new
short animation in the series of "Lotte from Gadgetville" (Leiutajateküla Lotte) which focused on Gadgetville's
bank. Finally, the audience had the opportunity to listen to a punk band "Streptococcus Pyogenes" who will give a concert after a punk
song festival in Rakvere on 7 June.
