Meeting of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank

At its regular meeting held on 16 December, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank discussed the current situation and future outlooks of the Estonian economy and the financial sector.

In addition, the Supervisory Board was presented Eesti Pank's strategy for 2009-2011 and the central bank's next year's draft budget. Governor of Eesti Pank will approve the budget by the end of December 2008 at the latest.

At its last meeting of the year the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank approved the Internal Audit Department's work schedule. The department's statutes were also changed.

In addition, the Supervisory Board endorsed the interest rate for consumer credit to employees of Eesti Pank.

As the last item on the agenda, the Supervisory Board approved its next year's work schedule.

The next meeting of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank will be held on 3 March 2009.
