From June 19, new series 2- and 10-kroon banknotes are launched into circulation. Compared to the 2006 release, the only thing
that has changed on the banknotes is the year of issue.
The new 2-kroon banknotes have the same design as the
previous series, which was issued in 2006. Only the year of issue has changed - the new banknotes bear the year 2007.
The new
10-kroon banknotes have the same design as the previous series issued in 2006. Only the year of issue on the banknotes has changed; it is now
2007.
The new 2-kroon notes were printed in Germany by the Gieseke & Devrient GmbH printing facility
and the 10-kroon notes in Malta by the De La Rue printing facility.
All the 2-kroon and 10-kroon banknotes
issued before the 2007 series will also remain legal tender.
