Euro exchange rates

As of 1 January 2011, Estonia will replace the kroon with the euro and Eesti Pank will cease to publish daily exchange rate fixings.

Euro foreign exchange reference rates are fixed by the European Central Bank. They are calculated every working day based on the combined data of central banks across Europe and worldwide, usually at 3:15 p.m.(2:15 p.m. C.E.T.) and are published after concertation procedures on the web at 4 p.m. according to Estonian time (GMT+2). Euro foreign exchange reference rates are not published on Saturdays, Sundays or during holidays, which are New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, 1 May (Labour Day), Christmas Day and 26 December.

The latest euro reference rates can be downloaded from the European Central Bank's website at www.ecb.int/stats/exchange/eurofxref/html/index.en.html. They can be downloaded in pdf, csv, xml (www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml) or iPhone (www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/iphone.html) format. The daily fixings table also provides RSS for every currency.
You can find useful tips about downloading at www.ecb.int/stats/exchange/eurofxref/html/index.en.html -> For developers.

If you need reference rates for accounting that are not included in the table published by the European Central Bank, we recommend using the quotation of the currency against the euro published on the website of the respective country's central bank. The list of the websites of various central banks is available on the website of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) at www.bis.org/cbanks.htm.

The reference rate of SDR (the settlement unit of the International Monetary Fund) is available on IMF's website at www.imf.org/external/np/fin/data/param_rms_mth.aspx.
