Financial Department

  •    maintains records of the central bank's assets, liabilities, equity and income and expenses;
  •    drafts the central bank's budget and reports on its implementation to the Executive Board.

Accounting within the central bank is somewhat different from that of an ordinary company since besides regular accounting, the bank maintains an account of transactions related to the management of cash circulation and foreign exchange reserves.

The Head of the Financial Department is Kairi Rätsepp. Besides her, there are 14 more employees in the department.

The Financial Department consists of three divisions.

The Financial Accounting Division keeps accounts of Eesti Pank's financial assets and liabilities, compiles financial statements and financial statistics reports and administers their methodology. The Financial Accounting Division is managed by Merle Ilvest and besides her there are three more employees in the division.

The Management Accounting Division compiles the bank's budget draft and budget and management reports and arranges controlling (compliance with standards, monitoring economical and efficient consumption, budgeting). The Management Accounting Division is managed by Helga Käärik and besides her there are two more employees in the division.

The Accounting Division is in charge of recording the bank's accounting data, cost accounting and taxation accounting and reporting, as well as of preparing financial statements. The Accounting Division is managed by Ene Kaldoja and besides her there are four more employees in the division.
