Financial Stability Department
The Head of the Financial Stability Department is Jaak Tõrs. Besides him, there are 16 more employees in the department. The Financial Stability Department consists of two divisions. The Financial Sector Policy Division analyses the financial sector, estimates risks to the functioning of the financial intermediation system, prepares the Financial Stability Review and shapes Eesti Pank's positions as regards domestic and EU financial sector policy. In addition, the division compiles Eesti Pak Governor's decrees governing the banking sector and develops the financial crises management framework to improve the readiness for crisis solution. The Head of Division is Jana Kask and besides her there are five more specialists in the division. The Financial Sector Statistics Division collects and processes data on various financial institutions (banks, insurers, investment funds, leasing companies, savings and loan associations) and makes the data available to users inside Eesti Pank. This division also prepares quarterly financial accounts of the national accounts, publishes financial sector statistics on the bank's web site and submits data to international organisations (the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank, the Bank of International Settlements, etc). The Head of Division is Ain Paas and besides him there are eight more specialists in the division. |
